Be aware that there is a new scam in the area targeting the elderly. Someone is calling our older Americans and telling them that a medical alert system has been paid for by a loved one for their use. All that is needed to send the system out is a credit card and a name and address. The caller will not disclose the loved ones name or the name of the “company” they work for.
Many people have called our office and reported these calls.
Be aware this is a scam.
Remember never give credit card or bank account numbers out to anyone over the phone that you are unfamiliar with.
